Find natural logarithm value of a number

This is an example of how to find the natural logarithm value of a number, using the log(double a) method of Math. The class Math contains methods for performing basic numeric operations such as the elementary exponential, logarithm, square root, and trigonometric functions. Finding the natural logarithm value of a number implies that you should:

  • Use log(double a) API method of Math. The method returns the natural logarithm (base e) of a double value.

Let’s take a look at the code snippet that follows:

package com.javacodegeeks.snippets.core;

public class NatularLogarithmValue {

	public static void main(String args[]) {

		System.out.println("Natural logarithm value of 1 is : " + Math.log(1));
		System.out.println("Natural logarithm value of 2 is : " + Math.log(2));

	}
}

Output:

Natural logarithm value of 1 is : 0.0 Natural logarithm value of 2 is : 0.6931471805599453
