With this example we are going to demonstrate how to use a double type in Java. The double data type is a double-precision 64-bit IEEE 754 floating point. For decimal values, this data type is generally the default choice. This data type should never be used for precise values, such as currency.

    In short, to create a variable of double type you should just type the double keyword in a variable.

Let’s take a look at the code snippet that follows:

public class DoubleExample {
	
	public static void main(String[] args) {
		
		double d1 = 5445.27;
		double d2 = (double)1234/33;
